Originally founded in 2011, the martial art method that is taught at Darwin Martial Arts is a unique mix of the fundamentals of various disciplines from around the world. The programs offered allow for members to permit change as we develop our own perception of martial arts. There is also a significant level of fun involved in creating an atmosphere where members are encouraged to treat each other as training partners instead of opponents.
The classes are very welcoming to members of all age and skill levels, and designed to foster growth for each individual at a comfortable pace. The elements that compose the foundation of our programs are martial arts rooted in various cultures and are treated with homage and respect as origins of techniques and theories. Almost every program will be a fusion of at least two elements that are combined based on relative similarities, in order to guide our members in a full study of the martial arts.
A passion for people and learning has fueled Kevin Koslosky's career as a martial arts teacher, and practitioner. Kevin has been training various forms of martial arts for over 25 years. Schooled, and self-taught, Kevin brings a flexible approach to teaching. Starting with traditional technique to build a foundation; he believes in melding various martial arts together to form an adaptable, cohesive skillset. He has dedicated his life to foster a diverse community of learning, fitness, and friendship.

This class features a fusion of Jeet Kune Do, Boxing, Savate and several others. These martial arts have been selected as the most effective methods for learning to develop awareness as a striker (i.e. Boxer/Kickboxer).
There is way more to this art than punching! This class is a great opportunity to explore the subtle secrets of the overall mechanics and strategy in the methods of Boxing.
The martial arts featured in this class will include Wrestling, Judo/Jujutsu, Aikido, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Silat, Sambo, and more. This fusion allows for optimal conscious developments as a grappler.
This class will combine over ten martial arts from various cultures, blending grappling with striking in order to gain a perspective of the modern sport of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and the process of its evolution.
This class will celebrate Thailand’s gift to the world of Martial Arts! Frequently referred to as the “science of eight limbs”, Thai Boxing was developed as Muay Boran alongside Krabi Krabong, which are the ancient warrior arts of Thai culture. These days it is most commonly practiced as a sport, either on its own, or in MMA. It is also Sensei’s specialty…

Hope goes a long way, and can go even further if traveling with the confidence of preparation. Clear the smoke and shatter the mirrors! The art of Aikido will root the intentions of this class, while other influences will venture a bit past the lines of what can be defined as “self defense”, offering survival methods that may support these intentions effectively.
This class will feature a progressive stretch routine and various postures from myriad cultures that are adaptable to anyone’s level of flexibility. Deep stretches accompanied by proper breathing methods are combined in order to improve the body’s agility during the practice of martial arts, or living as a human being.
This class will feature customized fitness routines designed to stimulate the body and mind towards the growth required to excel as a martial artist.
This class unites the arts of Tai Chi and Qi Gong (Chi Kung) as one practice that emphasizes the harmony of breath with both motion & stillness, and is designed to offer mind-body awareness, tranquility, flexibility, balance, and a general promotion of overall health and wellness.
Almost every martial art includes a history of battles with swords, spears, clubs, and other eccentric weapons. This class will explore the tools & techniques that compliment the empty handed methods of arts that are influenced by warrior traditions of long ago...in order to prepare for the future battles with the zombie army!
This feature is FREE to all registered members, and is intended to serve as (supervised) practice time in order to refine our individual perspectives of training. Those who utilize this service will reap the benefits of solidifying what is learned and honing in on what is useful.
Each clinic will highlight a different aspect of the programs available at our facility and will aim to serve as an introduction or a closer inspection of the rudimentary elements involved in the various arts that are featured. This will allow potential members to become familiar with our atmosphere as they observe or participate alongside current members that are exploring different focal points of their respective programs.
These workshops will feature a 12 week preparation course to become ready to compete with our team at the NAGA/AMMO Grappling Tournaments. Along with the physical readiness, team members will be educated of the rules and regulations of each tournament as they adapt their training to these standards and develop strategies that will improve their competitive performance.
Private lessons will feature personalized guidance through the journey of the martial arts. Members may select areas of focus in order to tailor the experience, and refine the training to emphasize the intended results. This feature will benefit members who seek customization, privacy, and individual attention to development while exploring the martial arts. Appointments may be scheduled based on availability.
